Thank you to Coventry Sexual Abuse Centre who supported our Sexual Violence Awareness week. Charlotte from the centre delivered a workshop and presentation to our Year 10 and 11 students today discussing with students what sexual violence is, consent and support and advice on this matter. It was thought provoking and allowed students to reflect on this topic in a safe and thoughtful environment.
Year 10 student: “Today in our talk, CRASAC spoke to us about sexual harassment, rape culture, how to seek support and consent. I thought it was really informative, current and powerful.”

During the past two weeks the Year 11 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition students have completed their food practical assessment.
The Non-Examined Assessment parts of the GCSE involve food investigations and a 2 hour practical, with the subject choices this year being ‘The Elderly’ or ‘Street Food’.
Students were required to investigate their chosen topic in detail and then make two appropriate, high skilled dishes. The finished street food dishes were presented in specially purchased takeaway food containers. The students produced an impressive array of tricky dishes, with some brave choices of unusual street food that is found in the Far East. Completed in 4 sessions, running after school, Year 11 worked to a prepared time plan and really rose to the challenge.
Thank you to parents/ carers for all the support provided and well done for creating some superb dishes Year 11.
Mrs James – Head of Food.
