Last week the Y11 GCSE Hospitality and Catering group had an afternoon off timetable to enable them to have a solid amount of time to do a mini mock practical.
The remit was to cook one dish, with accompaniments, suitable to serve in the Western Avenue Cafe. Students had to display 3 preparation skills and 3 cooking skills. They then had to present their finished dishes in an attractive restaurant style. They all worked extremely well and were totally engaged in the given task.
The results were excellent.
