“El pueblo blanco de Zahara de la Sierra ” was our first stop today: a beautiful white village in the Cádiz province. Students were keen to enjoy the views so had an early morning climb to the castle at the top of the town (1100m-> higher than Scafell Pike!).
Lucy, Daisy and Amy even had enough energy for some dancing with their partners when they came back down, supported by music from Billy.
We then continued our journey to beautiful Ronda where Mrs Spencer spent two months learning Spanish. We walked above “El Tajo” (the gorge) along the “Puente Nuevo”. Students also got to see one of the oldest bullrings in the area.
Our final visit of the day was to Setenil, another “pueblo blanco” which had houses built within the rocks. It is considered to be the most beautiful rural town in Spain.
Tonight, we’re looking forward to a party with our families, followed by a flamenco show!
