Y7 Southam ‘B’ Team 105 Coundon Court ‘B’ Team 5
Captain, and Man of the Match, Harry Latus scored a record breaking eleven tries in a one sided encounter against inexperienced opponents. Southam also had seven debutants in a game that the Coundon referee unusually and sportingly allowed to go beyond the 50-point differential that normally brings a game to its conclusion.
Assistant Coach and Sixth Former James Butlin, revelled in the holiday camp spirit, as excellent pace and evasive running from Taylor Stevens brought him a personal tally of seven tries! There was a fine hat-trick of tries from Second Row James Taylor, who always has a smile on his face. Eden Wood enjoyed a fine debut, that showed great promise, using his strength well to score two mighty tries. Fellow debutants Ben Bromwich and Dan Boag completed the scoring with a try apiece.
Oscar Headland, Dylan Willis, Gethan Butler and Jacob Sly helped the new boys settle in with fine performances. But a special mention goes to Harry Davenport, Jack Dixon and Ryan Knight for smashing first performances for the school. Make the most of it boys, tougher tests await!
